I told my son, he was in his 20 ‘s. To not take $$ from my Aunt when he would do yard work . Children need to know not every job has to be paid. But she would still pay him and say dont tell your mom. People really do appreciate getting helped and enjoy the giving. We love to see kids smile. I was discounting that yours took the money or saying that she shouldn’t . I was just proud that my son did this nice thing and was immature enough to recognize that doing it was reward enough.
What a great lesson your daughter will remember….To help those in a situation of need even if it’s as simple as getting a gallon of milk…. not all will give money but I’m sure the gesture of repaying her with a 20 bill speaks to his appreciation for what she did. And that I’m sure will stick with her. very kind of her. Kindness is always appreciated and the example you and your daughter set meant so much..something she will always take with her. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing!! I dropped a small container of raspberries on the floor in the checkout line last week. The cashier was very helpful. Provided paper towels and offered to go get me another container. I told her it wasn’t a bothe, and didn’t need one, but appreciated the help & concern. Accidents happen sometimes. And the people in line behind me were cool about it too. Good for you and your daughter to help a fellow human being
